Great viennoiserie starts with great dough.

At Mörk, our bakery is where many of the products our customers know and love begin. From our signature cinnamon buns to buttery croissants and handcrafted pastries, everything is made from scratch in our North Melbourne bakery and supplied fresh to our Melbourne venues each day.

We're looking for a Pastry Chef with commercial experience working with laminated and enriched doughs to join our bakery team.

This is a hands-on production role for someone who enjoys the craft of working with doughs, values quality and takes pride in producing consistently exceptional products. If you're someone who is always looking to refine your technique, asks questions and enjoys learning alongside others, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Working as part of our pastry team, you'll help produce the bakery items our customers know and love while continuing to develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

A typical day might include:

• Producing croissants, cinnamon buns and other viennoiserie
• Preparing laminated and enriched doughs from scratch
• Using a dough sheeter and bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Mixing, shaping, fermenting, baking and finishing products to a consistently high standard
• Preparing and packing products for delivery to our Melbourne venues

Our bakery supplies all Mörk venues across Melbourne, so every day you'll be creating products enjoyed by thousands of customers across the city.

The role starts at approximately 4:30am, so reliable early morning availability is essential.

Weekend work forms part of the roster. Flexibility to work across both Saturday and Sunday is highly regarded.

About You

You'll bring:

• At least six months' commercial experience working with laminated and/or enriched doughs in a bakery or pastry kitchen
• Confidence using a dough sheeter
• A solid understanding of dough handling and fermentation
• A genuine passion for baking and craftsmanship
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistently high-quality products
• A positive, reliable and team-focused approach
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
