Job Description Pastry Cook As a Pastry Cook at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be a key member of our culinary team, and work seamlessly with the wider food and beverage team to ensure excellent products for our guests! This is a full-time permanent position, starting in December 2025. Starting Rate of Pay: $22.95 per hour We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the hourly rate would be $27.80. Job Duties Include: Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte, buffet menus, and individual dishes Organize and manage buffets and banquets, manage kitchen operations Have full knowledge of all menu’s items, daily features and promotions Ensure proper labeling, dating and storage of all items in the kitchen Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and handle guest allergy concerns with appropriate care and importance Qualifications Previous experience in the culinary field required Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent an asset Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline required Job Perks & Benefits: Subsidized staff accommodation provided Complimentary meal in our staff cafeteria per shift Access to our Employee Travel Program, with discounts on room rates and food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties worldwide Hotel leisure benefits including Golf/Ski passes Additional Information Visa Requirements: To progress with your application, you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
