Description:
Alforno is expanding its pastry team and seeking individuals who are passionate about creating freshly baked pastries. The team collaborates to ensure high-quality baked goods and desserts meet guest demands. The Pastry Cook position involves producing superior baked goods, maintaining quality, and adhering to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include communication, daily production and handling, storage, waste monitoring, and meeting standards. The role contributes to dessert creation and menu changes while upholding cleanliness and food preparation standards. The Pastry Cook works under the Pastry Sous Chef and Chef, aiming for consistent, high-caliber food presentation. This opportunity allows individuals to refine skills, be part of a growth-oriented team, and embrace a meticulous approach to culinary excellence.
What are the duties to perform:
- Weigh, measure, and portion ingredients
- Demonstrated creativity in food
- Sound knowledge of the preparation of baked goods and desserts
- Ability to operate all kitchen appliances (ovens, induction cooktops, gas burners, steamers, propane torches, mixers, sheeters, etc)
- Receive, store, and organize food supplies in storage areas
- Innovative, detail-oriented, quality-conscious
