Lake Lawn Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook / Bakery Cook to craft high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods for our restaurants, banquets, and special events. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in presentation, consistency, and the art of baking—from scratch-made breads to plated desserts. Position Details Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Early mornings, days, weekends as needed Department: Culinary / Pastry / Bakery What You’ll Do Create and execute pastries, desserts, breads, and confections to high presentation standards Follow and refine recipes while maintaining consistency and quality Prepare items for multiple outlets including restaurant service, banquets, and catering Decorate cakes and desserts with attention to detail and visual appeal Set up and maintain bakery displays (croissants, sweet rolls, breads, desserts) Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and production sheets for event needs Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry station Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with the culinary team on menu items and seasonal offerings Requirements What We’re Looking For Must be at least 18 years of age 1+ year of pastry, bakery, or baking experience (high-volume or scratch baking preferred) Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation Culinary or pastry training preferred, but not required Passion for baking and creativity in dessert preparation Ability to work independently and manage production timelines Detail-oriented with pride in finished product Work Environment Fast-paced, professional kitchen Early morning production schedule Exposure to heat, ovens, and kitchen equipment About Lake Lawn Resort Located on Delavan Lake, Lake Lawn Resort offers elevated dining experiences supported by a talented culinary team.
