We are now accepting applications for Pantry Cooks, here at Basin Harbor. Our Pantry Cooks are responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, and other desserts using classic and modern techniques, ensuring high-quality results and consistency. Decorate pastries and desserts with icings, toppings, fillings, and creative designs for displays, events, and special orders. Collaborate with executive chefs and kitchen staff to follow seasonal menus and pastry items. Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to kitchen standards. Maintain inventory of ingredients and baking supplies, monitor equipment, and ensure proper storage and usage. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen. We are seeking both full-time seasonal Pantry Cooks to join our team for our upcoming summer season from mid-May though October, 2026. Requirements Some essential competencies are: Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards in a kitchen and service environment, prior baking and pastry food preparation experience of at least 1 year required . Must be able to take direction and work in a team environment, attention to detail, efficient, and able to perform multiple tasks systematically in a fast-paced environment, ability to remember and follow kitchen cleanliness and food handling procedures. All kitchen staff require a clean, well kept, professional appearance. As well, shift work may require up to 10-hour shifts - walking and standing. Must be able to lift 20 lbs repeatedly. Basin Harbor conducts pre-employment criminal background and reference checks on all employees.
