Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious pastries and desserts. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including cakes, cookies, pies, and breads
- Decorate pastries using various techniques to create visually appealing and appetizing desserts
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items
- Ensure all pastries are prepared and presented according to established quality standards
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry station
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen setting
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
