This role is ideal for someone with reputable technical ability, a refined palate, and a deep respect for artisanal pastry methods—from laminated doughs and hand-finished pastries to thoughtfully composed cakes. You’ll report directly to our Executive Pastry Chef and contribute to a kitchen known for excellence, precision, and elevated hospitality. Requirements What You'll Do: · Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies, and specialty items with consistency, finesse, and artisanal technique. · Execute cake finishing and pastry decoration using advanced methods such as piping, glazing, chocolate work, fondant, and hand-crafted garnishes. · Participate in the development of new menu items and seasonal offerings that highlight craftsmanship, seasonal ingredients, and modern pastry trends. · Follow standardized recipes while upholding high standards for flavor balance, texture, and presentation. · Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation that reflects professional discipline and respect for the craft. · Collaborate with the pastry team to meet daily production goals, fulfill special orders, and support a smooth, efficient kitchen flow. · Monitor ingredient levels—especially specialty and house-made components—and communicate needs directly to the Executive Pastry Chef. What You Bring: · Minimum 5 years of professional pastry or baking experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, hotel, or restaurant. · Strong foundation in classic pastry methods and modern cake-decorating skills, with an appreciation for artisanal processes such as laminated doughs, custards, mousses, and scratch-made components. · Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without compromising quality. · A creative, curious mindset with a passion for flavor development, seasonal ingredients, and thoughtful presentation. · Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. · Culinary or pastry arts education is a plus, though not required with strong hands-on experience.
