REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years minimum of proven experience as a pastry cook
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Expertise in creating intricate fillings and bases for pastries and confections.
• Creativity and passion for crafting unique and delicious pastries and confections.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multipletasks simultaneously.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Formal culinary or pastry training from a recognized institution.
• Experience working with organic and specialty ingredients.
• Familiarity with Loco Love’s product range and brand values.

• Preparation and Baking: Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections, ensuring all products meet Loco Love’s high standards of quality and presentation.
• Filling and Bases: Specialize in the creation of complex fillings and bases for our products, including ganaches, mousses, and various doughs, with precision and consistency.
• Recipe Adherence and Innovation: Follow recipes and techniques accurately while also contributing creative ideas for new products and improvements.
• Sustainability and Sourcing: Ensure all products are made using organic, ethically sourced ingredients in line with Loco Love’s commitment to sustainability.
• Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaboration and Planning: Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to plan and execute production schedules.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in all products.
