Description

We are looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Reporting to the Pastry Chef & Executive Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of desserts and baked goods for our hotel’s dining outlets, banquets, and special events. The ideal candidate should have a passion for pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a pastry Cook or similar role.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility at work AM and PM shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Hotel pastry experience an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Decorate pastries and desserts using various techniques to enhance presentation
  • Ensure all pastries and baked goods are consistently of high quality and meet food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to plan menus, develop new recipes, and create special desserts for events
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment and workstations
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of work areas
