As our Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in supporting the pastry team by preparing and presenting high-quality desserts, baked goods, and confections in your assigned section. Working closely with the Pastry Chef de Partie, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, with a focus on pastry and desserts ideally in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or bakery.
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques and baking methods, or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including croissants, breads, cakes, tarts, mousses, and other confections.
  • Follow recipes and instructions to ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items in line with BCP standards.
  • Support and follow the Pastry Chef de Partie in day-to-day operations of the pastry section.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and manage inventory and stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies to ensure availability and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and maintain good relationships with other departments.
  • Work safely by following all health and safety policies, procedures, and reporting any injuries or hazards immediately.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest and business needs.
