We are a cheese shop and cafe, focusing on high quality ingredients and season-driven recipes. Most of our offerings are made in house and we love to excite our guests with our unique sandwiches and baked goods.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry and Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in pastry production and a keen eye for detail, particularly in consistency and presentation. This role involves crafting sandwiches, prepping sauces, & creating baked goods for our cafe while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

SKILLS

  • Experience in pastry preparation and baking techniques
  • Attention to detail and consistent execution
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
  • Experience in food production within a culinary environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients
  • Familiarity with catering services or restaurant operations is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Responsibilities
  • Assemble sandwiches for cafe
  • Prepare sauces, condiments, & spreads for sandwiches
  • Prepare and bake a range of pastries & cookies according to established recipes
  • Decorate cakes and pastries daily for presentation in pastry case
  • Recipe development based on experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations, including dry storage and walk-in
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and ingredients needed for production
