PASTRY SOUS CHEF - KOI DESSERT BAR MELBOURNE

KOI Dessert Bar is seeking a dedicated and talented Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at our Melbourne location. You will support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading kitchen operations, ensuring all desserts meet KOI’s high standards for quality and artistry. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who wants to contribute to a dynamic and innovative brand.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Solid Experience: At least three years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end establishment or similar environment.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Extensive experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
  • Pastry Production: A deep understanding of pastry production, with hands-on experience in preparing mousses, choux pastry, and complex layered cakes.
  • Chocolate Tempering: A must-have skill with proven experience in chocolate tempering.
  • Commitment: Looking for a long-term position to grow with the KOI team.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Creativity: A passion for creating and developing new, innovative desserts.
