JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PAT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical safety tests on portable appliances to ensure compliance with current health and safety regulations. This role involves visiting various client sites, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all portable electrical equipment is safe for use.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Essential:
• Understanding of current health and safety regulations related to electrical appliances.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Desirable:
• Previous experience in a similar PAT testing role.
• Basic IT skills for reporting and logging test results.
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites or outside standard hours if needed.
• Certification in PAT Testing (e.g. City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent). However Full training will be provided

• Conduct in-service inspections and testing of electrical equipment (PAT Testing) in accordance with current UK regulations (e.g. IET Code of Practice).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tests performed.
• Label and document tested equipment clearly with pass/fail status.
• Report and escalate any serious electrical hazards or unsafe appliances.
• Manage testing schedules to minimize disruption to clients or internal operations.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures while on site.
