ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented volunteer to assist with Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to help ensure the safety of our electrical equipment and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the safety of our facilities, helping us to meet legal requirements and providing a secure environment for our staff, volunteers, and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct PAT testing on portable electrical appliances to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Record testing results accurately, marking equipment with pass/fail labels.
• Maintain a clear log of tested appliances, noting inspection dates and outcomes.
• Communicate any issues or unsafe appliances to the designated supervisor.
• Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations.
