Job Summary: Responsible for repairing and finishing parts by sanding, buffing, and applying gelcoat and putty to meet quality standards. This role involves reviewing work for defects, performing detailed surface repairs, and using pneumatic and power tools to achieve a high-quality finish. The position requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following instructions, and adhering to all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with sanding and repair techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment Key Responsibilities: Use a sander and putty. Review work Mix Gelcoat and putties when making repairs Buff and sand parts as needed Inspect parts to meet quality standards Requirements Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience using hand tools/sanding Experienced with various pneumatic and power tools Able to follow instructions Maintain a clean and orderly work area Capable of working in a non-climate-controlled environment Extremely detail-oriented Able to bend, squat, climb and stand for extended periods of time Must wear proper safety equipment including a respirator when needed Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
