*Posting Title:* Pathologist *Industry:* Hospital *Salary:* ₹100000 to 300000 LPM *Work Experience:* 1 Year *Responsibilities:* - Perform and interpret a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, serology, immunology, cytology, and blood banking. - Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all diagnostic test results in compliance with quality control protocols. - Manage Blood Bank and transfusion services, including blood component collection, storage, compatibility testing, and safe transfusion practices. - Conduct microscopic and morphological evaluations of cellular specimens in cytology to detect abnormalities and support early diagnosis. - Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. - Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide expert diagnostic insights and support clinical decision-making. - Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs, including accreditation audits and proficiency testing. - Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in pathology and laboratory medicine. - Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies, SOPs, and safety procedures. - Mentor and guide junior laboratory staff and trainees in diagnostic techniques and professional conduct. *Requirements:* - MBBS or MD (Pathology) with valid registration from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or equivalent. - Minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting. - Proven expertise in hematology, including complete blood counts, peripheral smear analysis, and coagulation studies. - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in biochemistry, serology, immunology, and cytology. - Certification or experience in Blood Bank and transfusion services, including ABO/Rh typing, crossmatching, and transfusion safety protocols. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a high level of attention to detail. - Proficiency in operating and maintaining automated and manual laboratory instruments. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., NABL, ISO 15189). - Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
