Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates to apply for the role of Pathway Administrator within the Urology Team at Charing Cross Hospital. You will be primarily responsible for managing diagnostic appointments and providing administrative support to the Urology Team.
You will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team to support in ensuring a smooth patient pathway and a high quality patient experience.
Due to the nature of the post it is essential that you are highly motivated and organised with an ability to prioritise and problem solve in a busy working environment. Communication is key for this role and it will be expected that you demonstrate an ability to communicate with patients and staff across all disciplines.
You should ideally have some knowledge of the RTT , DM01 &Two Week Wait time standards.
Provide administrative support to the relevant clinical teams ensuring the patient’s
journey is managed efficiently in accordance with referral to treatment targets and agreed
timescales and that administrative processes revolve around the patient and their
individual needs
To receive and respond to all telephone and email enquiries from patients, carers and
external parties in a polite and professional manner, ensuring that accurate records are
maintained and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner, escalating more complex
queries to the relevant member of the team
To ensure that letters and other relevant documentation reach the appropriate people,
including patients and other healthcare professionals, within agreed timeframes and that
all correspondence is appropriately recorded on the Trust’s patient administration system
To book and reschedule appointments as and when required
Receive post and deal with routine correspondence and undertake follow-up action as
directed by the administration manager
Utilise computerised tracking systems to locate case notes and investigation results
Ensure patient information is maintained and updated on the appropriate patient
information system
Create and maintain local filing systems, keeping accurate records of the work completed
within the team
