SOCIAL CONDITIONS

Normal working hours are expected to be weekdays 9am – 5pm however a considerable degree of flexibility will be required of the post-holder with the growth and development of the service.
To be based with Leeds City Council (Merrion House) but also work flexibly across the Beacon service, including working outside, supervising the street outreach role.
The post-holder is expected to offer an on-call support service for the organisation, which will be on average 2 weeks per year and will be paid at additional rates.
To occasionally work with animals (particularly dogs) in conjunction with the kennels project at Oakdale.
We reserve the right to move staff to other areas within the Beacon service as and when required so as to meet organisation requirements.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Beacon requires applicants to disclose all criminal convictions and cautions no matter how long ago they occurred and regardless of whether the offences were committed as a juvenile or adult. The organisation undertakes an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check for all successful candidates and a confirmed offer of employment is dependent on a satisfactory response from the DBS.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

TLA is the lead provider of this city-wide service. The Pathway’s team are often the first point of contact for external agencies and clients. The Pathway Manager role is based at Leeds Housing Options (Merrion House), working closely with homeless services and other agencies to ensure that referrals for people who face multiple disadvantages and require housing related support are assessed and those who are eligible are allocated to a suitable property.
