POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Pathways and Activities Coordinator (Early Years to Youth) to join our team, working collaboratively to enhance the holistic development and well-being of children, youth, and families in the community.
Under the direction of the Manager of Early Childhood Education and Childcare Programs, the Pathways and Activities Coordinator provides culturally informed activities for children (ages 6-12), youth (ages 12-18), and families. This role involves planning, organizing, and attending outings and cultural events, fostering connections between participants, and supporting their progression through developmental transitions. The Pathways and Activities Coordinator will also engage in community relations activities, building strong relationships to support clients and the broader community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Recreation, Youth Work, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience coordinating and planning activities for children and youth.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and contemporary issues.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with children, youth, and families.
