Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Pathways to Strength Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, development, and success of the Pathways to Strength program, designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. This role oversees program instructors and volunteers, ensures staff certifications and training, and builds strong connections with participants, caregivers, and community partners. The Coordinator works closely with the CEO to enhance program quality, drive community engagement, and support marketing and fundraising efforts. By fostering a supportive and empowering environment, the Coordinator plays a vital role in helping participants achieve their health and wellness goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Parkinson’s-specific certification (e.g., PWR!Moves or equivalent).
  • Basic YUSA Strength and Conditioning certification or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with prior experience overseeing staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage participants, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Passion for serving individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in community development or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social services.
  • Experience in program development, grant writing, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in community work.

Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Assist in marketing and promotional efforts to grow program participation.
  • Support fundraising events and initiatives to enhance program sustainability.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Advisory Group on strategic program development and community outreach.
