The Patient Access Coordinator you’ll be the go-to person for patients seeking information about benefits, financial estimates, copay assistance programs, and other available resources. Your warm demeanor and expertise will help patients feel confident in their financial decisions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their options before proceeding with treatment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Contact patients to review benefits and eligibility, providing clear information on potential out-of-pocket costs as documented by their insurance plan * Encourage patients to confirm their current benefits plan agreement with their insurance provider before services are rendered * Review all available financial assistance resources with patients, including copay assistance programs, scholarships, and foundations * Enroll or assist patients with enrolling in copay assistance programs * Ensure patients feel confident in moving forward with services by providing an accurate vision of the quality of care available at Infusion for Health * Obtain patient signatures acknowledging the benefit and eligibility information as provided by the payer * Communicate with patients, payers, and internal departments in a professional and courteous manner * Create detailed notes in the practice management system to document communication, pertinent information, and actions taken on patient accounts * Maintain frequent communication with team members and department leadership to ensure a consistent flow of information * Perform any other tasks as assigned QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS * Demonstrated proficiency in patient registration, admissions, and billing practices * Strong analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting financial information * Knowledge of health insurance and medical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency with computer systems, word processing software, and internet navigation * Ability to identify and implement process improvements with strong attention to detail EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * High school diploma required * Minimum of three years of relevant experience in healthcare billing, collections, or financial counseling * EMR experience preferred WHY JOIN US?
