Description Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a full-time Patient Access Representative to work in our Rehab department. SHIFT & HOURS: Full-time, Monday through Friday DUTIES: Greet, register, and schedule patients, verify insurance coverage, answer/redirect phone calls. Collect co-pays and up-front payments. Assist with other registration responsibilities as needed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Clerical experience with a background in medical terminology or prior healthcare experience preferred. Ability to work independently and with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Excellent communication skills. Computer proficiency; EPIC EHR experience preferred.
Responsibilities
The Patient Access Representative greets, registers, and schedules patients while verifying insurance coverage. They also handle phone calls, collect co-pays, and assist with other registration tasks as needed.
