How you will contribute A Patient Access Specialist who excels in this role: Verifies insurance benefits, eligibility, and obtains insurance authorizations when necessary. Collects deposits, co-pays, and deductibles. Educates patients and families regarding patient rights, advanced directives, and distributes patient guides. Computer proficiency required. Medical terminology experience preferred. Billing and/or collection experience preferred. Excellent customer service and telephone skills are a must.
