Description This position is a full-time, permanent onsite non-clinical position within Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Columbia, TN. Responsibilities Answer inbound calls; assist callers by routing all incoming telephone calls to the proper department or personnel Obtain patient demographics and insurance information; maneuver between multiple screens and multiple systems while documenting information Listen actively to patient medical history such as surgical history, previous or current injuries, and recent imaging history Dissect pertinent details such as reason-for-visit and availability to schedule the most convenient and effective appointment for the patient Reschedule appointment cancellations Respond effectively to time sensitive email communication Deescalate disputes independently Take messages when necessary Other duties as assigned Requirements Experience using NextGen Previous experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system Benefits Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match with employee contribution and discretionary profit-sharing Paid Time Off (which increases with years of service) Paid Holidays TOA is an equal opportunity employer.
