Overview 1st Shift Mon-Fri, 930am-6pm, requires flexible scheudling and weekend on call rotation The Patient Access Team Lead is responsible for supervising patient access operations, including registration, scheduling, and insurance verification, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with policies. The role provides leadership and training to staff, resolves complex billing and patient concerns, and implements quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction. The role manages departmental schedules, supports financial counselling, and collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient experiences and maximize operational efficiency. Responsibilities Accurately and thoroughly collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data in computer system. Ensures information source is appropriate and all required documentation are on file Maintains knowledge and understanding of insurance verification and understanding of insurance plans Ensure accounts have a valid provider order on file when applicable (transcribe and scan when required) Properly maintains required work regarding collections, balancing of cash drawers, and posting to patient accounts. Must understand patient options for financial assistance & payment plans. Properly maintains Patient Access performance goals including Point of Service, Denials, Arrived in Errors, etc. Documents on accounts using hospital account note with activity comments to ensure easy account follow up. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer services with a goal to exceed customer expectations. Instrumental in training new Patient Access staff. Maintain ability to perform roles associated with Kiosk registration processes including but not limited to greeter and promoter Qualifications Education: High School graduate or GED equivalent is required. Experience: Prior leadership experience or Patient Access/Revenue Cycle related experience. License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
