Job Description: Supports the credit balance team in resolving complex issues on patient accounts. Essential Functions As a Lead Credit Balance Representative, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the following: Researches, validates and approves adjustments and refunds Provides training and coaching to credit balance team while maintaining confidentiality Confidential presentation of individual credit balance team’s Quality Assurance (QA) audits Timely coordination and resolution of compliance, third-party and audit refund projects Assist Credit Balance Leadership in creating and updating department workflows Coordination with other departments and Credit Balance Clerical team to ensure checks are printed and processed in a timely manner Partner with finance departments to research and complete reconciliation Skills Knowledge of Rules and Regulations Reconciliation Advanced mathematic principles Reading Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Knowledge of Medical Terminology Understanding Insurance Claims Research Complex Accounts Training and Coaching Effective Communication Confidentiality Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required Two (2)+ years of experience in hospital or physician back-end insurance related activities (Billing & Follow-Up) required Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required Epic systems experience preferred Must have training experience Lead experience We are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting.
