1. Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent   2. Training and Experience:  Medical Billing and ICD-9 and CPT coding experience preferred. Must be computer literate. Excellent customer service/interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented.   3. Job Knowledge:  Must know basic principals of accounting, balancing accounts, computer generated reports, HIIPA regulations and insurance practices and general office operations.   4. Any associate that is actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, will be excluded from employment in a “safety sensitive” position.      DESCRIPTION:   Responsible for the account billing and posting of clinic, hospital and nursing home charges for all physicians on a daily basis.     Physical Effort:   Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also bending, stooping and stretching for files and supplies.  Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity, sufficient to operate a keyboard, type 50-60 wpms, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary.  Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be within normal range for telephone contacts.  It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods of time and to work in an environment which can be very stressful.     Mental Effort:  To be successful in this position, the individual must demonstrate:   a. Strong verbal and written communication skills b. Detail orientation c. Good deductive reasoning d. Good with public; empathy for patients e. Collaborates with others; strong team builder f. Accepts authority and follows instructions well         7. Performs duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision or direction
