Description Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a full-time Patient Account Representative/Financial Counselor. SHIFT & HOURS: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm DUTIES: Primary responsibilities will include processing patient bills and claims to third party payors. Identifies appropriate billing distributions, monitors outstanding accounts, responds to billing-related inquiries, and assists in preparing billing reports. Responsible for all private pay accounts, sending out patient notices, setting up payment plans, prepare accounts ready for collections. Meets with patients about Community Care and other assistance programs. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of healthcare billing rules and regulations. Prefer minimum of 1-2 years of previous claims/billing experience. EPIC experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills, professional demeanor on the phone and in person. Ability to work independently and with attention to detail. Previous collections, outbound sales and negotiation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
