Description

Overview EVMS Medical Group at ODU is seeking a Patient Account Representative. This position performs daily review of charges for accuracy, updates patient demographics, verifies insurance information, obtains authorizations, and manually posts charges into EPIC. Identifies charge issues/opportunities and works with clinical department to make recommendations, resolve issues and enhance charge capture. Responsibilities Efficiently and accurately enter charges in EPIC. Review and resolve edits in Charge Review workqueues. Review and identify resolution for denials. Assisting providers with billing/coding issues. Updating patient demographics and verifying insurance coverage. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Skills: ICD10 and CPT knowledge, understanding of medical billing, problem solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: One year of patient billing experience. High School diploma or it's equivalent. Location : Location US-VA-Norfolk
