Responsibilities and Duties: Billing & Claims: Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to insurance carriers, including following up on unpaid or denied claims. Customer Service: Act as the primary contact for patients regarding questions about their bills, insurance coverage, and payment options. Collections: Process patient payments, manage payment plans, and collect outstanding balances. Data Management: Maintain detailed records of account activity, updating patient demographic and insurance information accurately. Reconciliation: Reconcile account balances, process refunds, and post payments. Required Skills and Experience Qualifications: · Previous experience in medical billing, collections, or customer service in a healthcare environment is required. · Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and patient accounting software. · Understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance provider regulations. · Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
