Essential Functions:   * Answer telephones promptly and courteously, identifying yourself and your department to the callers. Ability to forward callers appropriately, announcing your call to the receiver.  * Review private pay accounts for payment arrangements or for appropriate collection action. * Review accounts for potential refunds. * Review insurance denials and address claims with no response from insurance. * Answer patient questions relating to their monthly statement. * Verify and enter pertinent demographics, insurance coverage.  * Assign Primary Care Providers for new patient registration. * Participates in departmental meeting and problem solving groups. * Serve as a mentor to new staff and students as assigned.  * Performs other duties as requested.
