Description
Description Responsible for maximizing the collection of hospital and clinic medical services payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial aid, and guarantors. Responsible for insurance eligibility processes, charge processing, claim submission and processing, payment processing, collections and accounts receivable management, denial management, reporting of results and analysis, concurrent and retrospective auditing, proper coding, credentialing, insurance contract review and oversight, customer services relative to revenue cycle, training and development relative to revenue cycle, analytics, and all other revenue cycle management activities of Dosher Memorial Hospital. Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list): Develop, monitor, and analyze budget and financial information and utilize all resources in an effective and economical manner Develop standards and provide systems to monitor and evaluate physician office functions and assume responsibility for designing methods to improve functions Demonstrate appropriate competency in selected skills which are pertinent to areas of responsibility; including TruBridge and eCW Develop and implement staffing standards for hospital and clinic programs with effective, economical use of resources. Monitor staffing and attendance in compliance with standards Define and implement annual hospital goals in keeping with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Requirements Qualifications: a. Education: • Bachelor Degree in Health, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent in work experience • Minimum of five (5) years of medical revenue cycle management experience • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience • Overall revenue cycle experience b. Necessary Skills: • Strong knowledge of hospital and clinic medical insurance billing and collections with CPT, ICD10, and HCPC coding and medical terminology • Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations • Overall understanding of government and managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) • TruBridge and eCW software knowledge c. Physical Demands: • Requires sitting for long periods, sometimes in a confined space • Lifting/carry up to 50 lbs • Push up to 50 lbs • Repetitive finger movement • Repetitive twisting and pressure involving hand and finger mobility • Reaching at all levels • Stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching • Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens
