We currently have a Casual opportunity for a Patient Administrative Associate in our Nursing Resource Team at our Bayview campus.
Summary of Duties
The PAA is responsible for staffing, scheduling, payroll and the administrative support to the NRT/Scheduling office and Veterans Centre units.

Qualifications/Skills

  • One year of Community College
  • Candidates who have successfully completed the Hospital’s PAA training and successfully met the requirements of the performance Review and Development Plan (I e. Confirmed in the PAA role) will be given priority consideration
  • One year of Administrative/Business experience required, in a health care setting preferred
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ESP staff scheduling system
  • Keyboarding at net 40 wpm or net 106 kspm
  • Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows
  • Patient and Family focused care philosophy required
  • Ability to organize work effectively, and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment that requires the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone/customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
