Description
This is a remote position. We are seeking a Remote Patient Advocate to provide high-quality patient support and ensure smooth delivery of mental health services. This role focuses on patient communication, appointment coordination, case documentation, and assistance with forms, pharmacy issues, telepsychiatry processes, and care navigation. Responsibilities Provide empathetic emotional support to patients throughout their treatment. Assist patients with registration, onboarding, and understanding telepsychiatry platforms. Help complete disability forms and support physicians with accommodation letters. Coordinate lab work appointments and assist patients in obtaining medical records. Guide patients through pharmacy or prescription-related issues. Resolve support escalations through Zoom calls or virtual communication. Advocate for patient rights, needs, and access to care. Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and notifications of any changes. Assist with out-of-network claims and respond to billing or payment-related queries. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and provider schedules. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate care with external providers. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve patient care and service delivery. Requirements Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Pharmacist or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Patient Advocate, Clinical Coordinator, or similar role. Excellent English communication skills (C1 level). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage compassionately with diverse patient populations. High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills. Knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment modalities (preferred). Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care technologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team of four, take the initiative, and maintain strict confidentiality. This position is not focused on backend tasks; the candidate should be comfortable working one-on-one with doctors. Availability to work from 9 AM to 6 PM EST, Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday.
