PATIENT BENEFIT CONSULTANT SUMMARY The Patient Benefit Consultant is responsible for maintaining effective relationships while providing resources to our patient population for the filing of additional diagnosis(es). This role supports patients as they navigate the EEOICPA filing process and works closely with marketing, clinical, and compliance teams to ensure patients understand their benefits and have the right resources to file successfully. In addition to direct patient support, this is a highly process-improvement–focused role, tasked with identifying workflow gaps, standardizing procedures, and helping build scalable, compliant systems that prepare the Patient Benefits function for growth. Experience or interest in Lean/Six Sigma is preferred. This is an exempt position reporting to the Vice President of Program Management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Patient & Partner Support • Builds and maintains strong relationships with patients and community partners. • Guides patients through the filing process. • Attends events as needed to support teams and outreach. Filing Coordination • Tracks filing progress and documents milestones. • Coordinates with Authorized Representatives. • Collaborates with clinical teams to identify consequential illnesses. Data, Documentation & Compliance • Maintains accurate database entries. • Ensures strict adherence to compliance workflows and documentation. Process Improvement & Optimization • Identifies inefficiencies and workflow gaps. • Supports standardization and documentation of best practices. • Applies Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement practices. • Supports development of scalable systems for organizational growth. Other • Performs additional assigned duties. • Travels to meet with patients and support filing needs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS Core Competencies • Strong initiative and independence. • Organizational and time-management skills. • Professional and patient-centered demeanor. • Ability to perform light physical activity. • Basic computer skills preferred. Process Improvement Skills • Comfort working within compliance-heavy workflows. • Experience or interest in workflow optimization. • Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred. • Ability to support scalable systems for growth.
