GenesisCare now has an opportunity for Patient Care Assistant / Assistant in Nursing to join our Frenchs Forest clinic. This position will be responsible for providing safe and high-quality nursing care for our patients, in line with the GenesisCare Vision.
Day to day, this role will be expected to provide exceptional clinical nursing services according to policy and procedures as delegated and directly or indirectly supervised by the Registered Nurse.
On offer is a full-time role working Monday to Friday on a maximum term contract through to August 2027.

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment.
  • Assist our patients by taking observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, saturation, blood pressure, height and weight).
  • Documenting patient’s progress notes and clinical records in accordance with the plan of care and organisational protocols.
  • Room preparation, equipment cleaning, ordering and maintaining consumable stores.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or currently studying Bachelor of Nursing or a degree deemed appropriate.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Desirable: experience working with an electronic medical record
