Job Title: Night Patient Care Assistant
Salary: £24,045.00 per annum
Location: MyPetsVets, Leigh
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week;
An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate and enthusiastic animal lovers to join our vibrant Night Nursing Team as Nursing Assistants working in our busy centre. The position will involve all aspects of animal care of inpatients across a wide range of disciplines.
In a typical night you can expect assist the Nurses with inpatient care, administering oral medication, monitoring and recording accurately, feeding and walking as well as ensuring the wards and kennels are cleaned and restocked.
Veterinary or animal experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation.
  • Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures. This will include sterilising and deep cleaning among other duties.
  • Assist with reception and client care, including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments.
  • Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and support staff where and when required.
  • Work and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, adaptable, understanding and empathetic.
    You will be highly organised and have a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo.
