Your role at St John of God Healthcare, Midland Hospital

Working as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) you will be part of an integral multi-disciplinary team providing a high standard of care for patients in the areas of patient care, patient transport and support of the nursing/midwifery care team as directed. The Patient Care Assistant carries out their duties as directed by, and under the supervision of, a Registered Nurse/Midwife.

Position Requirements

- All direct patient care is carried out under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurse/Midwife/Enrolled Nurses.

- Liaises with the Registered Nurse/Midwife/Enrolled Nurse at all times and observes and reports all matters relevant to the wellbeing of the patient.

• - Perform manual handling of patients under supervision of Registered Nurse/Midwife/Enrolled Nurses.
