Description Position Title: Patient Care Assistant Pre/Post Op Areas Requirements Qualifications: NO WEEKENDS/NIGHTS/HOLIDAYS!! Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. Busy multi-specialty looking for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the Pre-operative and Post operative areas. The PCA works under the direction of the RN and supports the RN with clinical tasks including but not limited to assisting with patient admission and discharge and responding to the needs of patients and family members. Tasks include but not limited to cleaning and turnover of patient bays/stretchers; transporting patients to their car via wheelchair; removal of trash/linen when full; managing inventory including putting away supplies; etc.. BLS is required. Bilingual is a plus. CNA experience and certification preferred. Flexibility, reliability, professionalism and friendliness required along with good interpersonal communication skills. Salary based on years of experience.
Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant supports the RN with clinical tasks in pre-operative and post-operative areas. Responsibilities include assisting with patient admission and discharge, cleaning patient bays, transporting patients, and managing inventory.
