Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate patient care by assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of prescribed treatments
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents and patients
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs
  • Support nursing staff with essential tasks including vital sign monitoring, documentation, and mobility assistance
  • Engage actively in creating a positive atmosphere by offering companionship, emotional support, and encouragement during daily routines

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in assisted living environments, nursing homes, or home care settings with a focus on senior or hospice care
  • Strong background in patient care, caregiving, or related healthcare roles with an emphasis on compassion and professionalism
  • Familiarity with dementia care, disability support, medication administration, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or repositioning residents safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and connect empathetically with residents or patients
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning protocols to uphold hygiene standards within healthcare environments
  • Relevant certifications or training in nursing assistance or caregiving are preferred but not mandatory
