We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Patient Care Manager to join our Critical Care team. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help develop, implement, and maintain an innovative and strategic approach to the Critical Care program that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health. This position will play a key role in providing high quality support to Lakeridge Health client groups to achieve our vision and the objectives of Lakeridge Health’s strategic direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Reporting to the Director, Critical Care, Respiratory, Trauma, Women’s and Children Program, the Patient Care Manager (PCM) is responsible for the leadership and management of the Critical Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa; ensuring patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety, and consistency daily. While working collaboratively with all members of the health care team, the PCM will use effective planning, budgeting and problem solving skills to ensure: the development of respiratory services and critical care unit processes; the management of staff and to support business goals including operational efficiencies and optimize staffing and interdisciplinary team functioning. The PCM will facilitate and support the implementation of evidence based practice to achieve excellence in high quality delivery of patient and family centered care across the organization.
The PCM will have a personal drive and the need to achieve results by working to accomplish respiratory services and critical care unit outcomes by setting goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources and have the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal by engaging and empowering staff.
