Patient education sessions may be conducted from the comfort of your own home and also will be working within a VA clinic, with hands-on patient contact with veterans. Many of our patients are United States Veterans. As a Patient Care Specialist, you’ll be responsible working with Sales Account Manager(s) to assist and support in-clinical, telephonic, or video patient education and administrative duties. This is a full-time position. What You’ll Be Doing Resolves concerns and answer questions of customers regarding services and procedures. Assist with placement of orders and exchanges. Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses, emails, and phone numbers. Provides prompt, professional, attentive, empathetic, friendly, courteous, pleasant, and helpful service to all customers, internal and external. Schedule and Conduct patient education sessions within a clinical setting/or remote instruction on the use of the prescribed RS Medical product. Review of policies, procedures, and work instructions and ensures reference materials are up-todate and organized. Alerts Patient Care Management Team of any unique issues in regard to Sales Representatives, patients, products, etc. Utilizes computer system to monitor call volumes to ensure adequate phone coverage. Maintain organized home office and manage calendar efficiently. Support communication across Sales Operations, Patient Care Team, and Sales teams. Gather all patient documentation information accurately, efficiently, and promptly, and enter data into the RS Medical CRM system. Maintain open and effective communication and work with Clinical staff and Sales Representatives within the account to establish positive professional relationships that assist with the patient outcomes. Travel as needed to support clinical education and product demonstrations.” (In applicable locations) May assist with department training, account review, reporting and testing. Acts as a role model/mentor. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements What You’ll Bring to Us Typically requires six-months to 1 year of related experience, or comparable related experience. Experience in clinic, hospital, or medical office settings preferred. VA, Workers’ Compensation, or Personal Injury Protection experience is a plus. CRM system experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and office equipment. Bilingual skills desirable. Works under moderate supervision. Has attained full proficiency in a specific area of the job responsibility. Ability to use automated information systems to analyze patient accounts. Effective listening skills that give full attention to what other people say, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times. Basic math and proficient reading comprehension skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to maintain a professional and distraction-free workspace that supports productivity and confidentiality. Flexibility in work arrangements may be provided based on business need. Organized, self-motivated, dependable and flexible. Proficient problem-solving abilities and desire to learn and succeed. Proficient understanding of departmental systems and workflows. Internal personnel must have demonstrated consistency in meeting and/or exceeding all performance benchmarks over the previous 6-month period. This position also requires occasional bending, squatting, standing, and walking. Pushing, pulling lifting, and carrying of up to 25 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. Good general vision and hearing are needed. Ability to travel up to 70% of time for applicable locations. Must be able to drive and possess valid driver’s license and insurance.
