Acute Care Pediatrics 10 is a 24-bed pediatric unit. The staff care for patients from a variety of medical specialties including, but not limited to, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, gastrologic, and endocrinology. The unit also sees surgical specialties such as trauma, plastics, and general care surgery patients. The unit consists of a combination of general care and step-down patients, and ACP began caring for stable ventilated patients in late 2019. Additionally, some patients are monitored by telemetry in our general care and step-down environments.
The Patient Care Technician provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the RN or licensed independent practitioner.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education:
High School Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Certified Nursing Assistant
Licensure/Certification Required:
AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Licensure/Certification Preferred: N/A
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Certification/Completion of one of the following:

Completion of foundations/ clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
