  Patient Care Tech (PCT) - FT (36 Hours) Midnight Shift:  7pm-7:30am (Sat - Sun) Unit:  Medical Surgical Unit     WHO WE ARE:  In 2004, in an ambitious push to bring hospitality back to the hospital, a small group of top Metro-Detroit surgeons decided to create their own surgical hospital; one that provided patients with the best possible care in a small, easy-to-manage environment that truly embraces the best patient experience.  Our highly skilled surgeons and staff play a key role in our success rates and becoming the premier center of choice with 30 surgical beds, 26 rehabilitation beds, and 6 operating rooms.   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:  Patient Care Tech (PCT) is responsible for the provision of direct care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse.  Assists in the assessment and monitoring of patients’ conditions and therapeutic needs.  Responsible for the provision of direct care to patients to assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including elimination, nutritional needs, mobility, and emotional support.  In addition, accurate completion of vital sign flow sheets, charges for supplies and other duties deemed within their scope of practice.  Education/Experience 1. Completion of a Nurse Aide or Patient Care Technician training program required. 2. 1+ years of experience as a Nurse Aide strongly required. 3. 2 years years of experience providing care in a hospital setting required. 4. Availability to cover day and weekend shifts.  Licensure/Certification 1. Must have a current unrestricted Nurse Aide certification from the State of Michigan. 2. Must have a current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
