POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a dynamic healthcare team for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role supports nursing staff in providing high-quality care to patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and skilled in phlebotomy and EKG procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Patient Care Technician program
• EKG and Phlebotomy course certificates
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PCT or CNA in a hospital setting

• Greet and identify patients upon arrival.
• Assist in preparing patients for exams, procedures, and admissions.
• Perform IV and capillary blood collections for all age groups using aseptic techniques.
• Conduct EKGs as directed by clinical staff.
• Maintain and ensure cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
• Transport patients as needed within the facility.
• Assist patients with hygiene, meals, mobility, and toileting needs.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and caregivers.
