Overview Shift: Part-Time Weekend Package, Saturday/Sunday, 7a-7p, 3 out of 4 weekends The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment. Qualifications Education: Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification required Experience as a Patient Care Tech/CNA in a hospital setting License(s)/Certification(s): Must be Eighteen (18) years of age or older Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
