Overview Shift: Full-Time Nights, 32 hours/week Blank Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides care for children from birth to 17 years of age. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment. Qualifications License(s)/Certification(s): CNA certification preferred Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire. Other: Eighteen (18) years of age or older Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Responsibilities
Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) will perform patient care and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include documenting care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting patient mobility and respiratory needs.
