Short Description The Patient Care Technician provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include observing and reporting patient condition changes, assisting with daily living activities (such as meals and bathing), recording vital signs, measuring fluid intake/output, collecting specimens, and transporting patients within the hospital. They also perform one-on-one monitoring with documentation, demonstrate computer skills, follow physician orders, and use the internal paging and patient call systems. Additional tasks are assigned as needed. Experience Required Previous Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant experience preferred. Education Requirements High School graduate or equivalent. License/Certification Requirements American Heart Association, (AHA) CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required. Salary Min ($) USD $18.00 Salary Max ($) USD $23.78
