Location: Toledo Hospital Department: Weekly Hours: 18 Status: Part time Shift: Variable (United States of America) Job Summary: A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at ProMedica plays a vital role in the health and safety of our patients every day. From caring for patients to performing clerical services, a PCT helps all members of the ProMedica health care team while complying with standards, procedures and policies. A PCT is a genuine ambassador for ProMedica as they interact with patients, visitors and co-workers. The PCT assists the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data and other processes related to direct patient care. The PCT also ensures an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning properly. In this role, you will perform tasks related to scheduling procedures, coordinating admission as well as discharge and transfer processes. PCTs answer phones, take messages and direct calls. You will also pick up and delivers specimens, documents and other items to contribute to operational efficiency. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills, ability to read and write, and communicate or respond to inquiries. CPR certification prior to performing direct care; training provided. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in a medical setting. No specialized education or certification is required to apply.
