You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area The Patient Case Specialist will perform all pre-admission, admission, verification, pre-certification, financial, reception desk, expiration desk and ADT functions. Essential Job Functions Performs a thorough analysis of patient's financial data Determines and meets requirements of third-party payors to secure reimbursement for inpatient services Documents all account activity to insure proper billing Captures complete and accurate patient demographic and insurance information for inpatient admissions Determines patient's liability; discuses liability with patient to secure payment Cross-trains to all Admission Services functions Performs other duties as requested by senior management Required Qualifications A completed Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 or more years of relevant experience Good communication skills - verbal and written Candidate must be able to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external customers with tact, discretion, and courtesy Strong mathematical skills are required to calculate patient liability Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare setting Position Details: Job Type/FTE: Part time (0.50FTE) Shift: Nights Unit/Department: Revenue Cycle Work Location: Onsite CBA Code: 743 Clerical Why Join Us We’ve been at the forefront of medicine since 1899.
